Where to practice golf after the season? 7 places in Poland worth knowing

Shorter days, rain, and low temperatures limit the possibility of playing on the course, but you don't have to stop training until spring. Off-season, you can practice on a simulator, use indoor short game areas, or choose a year-round driving range, weather permitting.

Individual facilities differ not only in the number of bays. Access to a coach, video analysis, the possibility of practicing putting, fitting facilities, and opening hours are also important. The list below shows seven different places with training opportunities and suggests who they might suit (random order).

Before visiting, it is worth checking the current price list, instructor availability, and equipment usage rules. In autumn and winter, popular hours fill up quickly, especially on evenings and weekends.

7 places for golf training after the season

1. City Golf Łódź: long and short game training in one facility

Location: 4 Elektronowa St., Łódź

Technology: 5 Trackman 4 simulators and a green with the PuttView system

Additional facilities: training greens, bunkers, and a short game area, indoor driving range (10m ball flight)

City Golf Łódź at 4 Elektronowa St. is not just a room with simulators. The facility occupies a large training hall and combines five Trackman 4 bays with space for practicing elements of the game that usually cannot be properly worked on using just a screen. On the simulator, you can analyze individual shots, control the distances of individual clubs, or play a round on a virtual course.

The biggest difference is made by the short game area. In the hall of approximately 1,200 m², there are four training greens of 300, 100, 80, and 40 m², two sand bunkers, and surfaces with different grass heights. One of the greens is equipped with the interactive PuttView system, which projects lines and guidance onto the surface to help with putting practice, as well as allowing for various games and fun activities using this element. Thanks to the diversity of the entire space, you can combine work on your full swing, chipping training, or playing from the bunker, as well as putting in various forms during a single session.

There are also instructors, a golf shop, and a fitting service on-site, as well as fitness, physiotherapy, and recovery areas. A lounge and a workspace make it easy to plan a longer stay. This offer is primarily for people who want to carry out a more complete training program in the winter, rather than limiting themselves to playing virtual rounds. The layout of the zone and the solutions used are shown in the project description of City Golf Łódź prepared by Golf Masters.

2. Indoor Golf Wrocław: simulators and video analysis

Location: 14 Braniborska St., Wrocław

Technology: 2 Trackman 4 simulators and video analysis

Additional facilities: individual lessons, leagues, and games for children and adults

Indoor Golf Wrocław is located at 14 Braniborska St., on the second floor of the Domar Interior Design Gallery. The facility has two Trackman 4 simulators and is open daily from morning until late evening. The intimate scale makes it easy to focus on training and at the same time allows for booking both bays for a group of several people.

On the virtual driving range, you can check club distances, shot direction, spin, and ball trajectory. Those more focused on playing than analyzing can choose from over 450 recreated courses and arcade games for adults and children. The same equipment can therefore be used for regular practice repetitions, playing a round with friends, or your first contact with golf.

An important part of the offer is swing analysis conducted with an instructor. During the session, the recording of the movement is watched in slow motion and paired with data from the Trackman, followed by identifying elements that need improvement and a plan for further work. A session structured this way makes sense especially when winter training is meant to lead to a specific technical change before the start of the season, and not just to maintain the rhythm of shots.

3. Silva Sport: two large bays in Warsaw's Ursynów

Location: 531 Puławska St., Warsaw

Technology: 2 Trackman simulators

Additional facilities: screens over 5 m wide, parking, sports shop and café, and tennis facilities

Silva Sport is located at 531 Puławska St. in Warsaw's Ursynów. Golf is part of a larger sports complex here, which also features tennis and squash courts. The golf area consists of two Trackman bays intended both for individual shot analysis and for playing virtual rounds.

A distinctive feature is the screens with a width of over five meters and a diagonal exceeding 200 inches. Combined with high-resolution projectors, appropriate lighting, and sound systems, they create a space where the entire image of the course is clearly visible. A larger screen is especially important when playing in a group of several people, as the bay does not feel like a cramped cubicle, but rather like a VIP room. The simulator located on the ground floor occupies an area of nearly 70 m², while the space on the first floor is almost 60 m². Both rooms were designed not only with the comfort of playing in mind, but also with additional amenities.

The simulator on the ground floor is equipped with a special chipping area and a comfortable lounge area with sofas and a large TV. In turn, the space on the first floor has been enriched with a fitness and gym area.

It is also worth noting that professional acoustic adaptation has been carried out in both rooms, which significantly increases user comfort and allows for full concentration on the game.

There is a large parking lot, a sports shop, and a small café at the reception desk. Silva Sport will be a practical choice for residents of southern Warsaw and players who want to maintain a regular shot routine on their own. Those interested in a cycle of lessons should check the current availability of the instructor before booking, as the official offer of the facility focuses primarily on bay rental. You can read more about the solutions used in this zone in the project description of Silva Sport prepared by Golf Masters.

4. Wrocław Golf Club: indoor training surrounded by a golf club

Location: 5 Rakowa St., Kryniczno near Wrocław

Technology: 3 Trackman 4 bays

Additional facilities: academy, pro shop, restaurant, and 18- and 9-hole courses

Wrocław Golf Club in Kryniczno differs from typical urban studios in that the simulators are part of an active golf club. The facility features 18- and 9-hole courses, an academy, a pro shop, and a restaurant, and in winter, training can be moved to three Trackman 4 bays. This allows for maintaining continuity of work in the same environment even when conditions on the course are not favorable for playing.

The Trackman radar measures the parameters of ball flight and club movement, so the bays can be used for distance control, working on consistency, or taking lessons with a coach. You can also play a virtual round. For club regulars, this is a natural extension of the season, while beginners can combine their first visit with academy classes and gradually prepare for playing on a real course.

An additional advantage is the full club facilities: the shop, equipment rental, and restaurant are located in the same place. The course itself was built on the site of a former military training ground and combines links-style and parkland-style sections. In winter, however, its availability depends on the weather, so before traveling, it is worth checking the possibility of playing outside and the available hours of the simulators separately. You can see how the indoor zone was made in the project description of Wrocław Golf Club prepared by Golf Masters.

5. EPIC Golf Warsaw: training combined with fitting

Location: 31/9 Wincentego Witosa Ave., Warsaw

Technology: Trackman 4, TrackMan iO, GCQuad, and PuttView

Additional facilities: fitting, pro shop, and interactive green

EPIC Golf at 31/9 Wincentego Witosa Ave. in Warsaw combines a training studio with a shop and a fitting center. There are two professional bays available, and the systems used include Trackman 4, overhead Trackman iO, and GCQuad. This allows you to analyze your swing using radar, high-speed cameras, or a combination of both solutions, depending on the chosen bay and session objective.

Such facilities are useful not only for improving your swing. Data on speed, trajectory, and ball contact can be used when comparing clubs and during a fitting. A separate zone is PuttView: a system of cameras and a projector overlays the putt line onto the green, shows the path of the ball, and allows you to practice on simulated slopes of up to 2.9 percent in both directions.

EPIC Golf will be particularly interesting for players who want to combine technical training with equipment checking or customization. You can also play a full virtual round here, but the greatest value of this place is the possibility of combining several measurement technologies and working on putting without changing locations.

6. Kraków Golf: lessons and group training near Zakopianka

Location: 56/19 Zakopiańska St., Kraków

Technology: Trackman 4 and video analysis

Additional facilities: fitting, golf shop, lessons, and group training

Kraków Golf operates in the Zakopianka Golf Center at 56/19 Zakopiańska St. The main training tool is Trackman 4, where you can use a virtual driving range, analyze individual shots, or play a round on one of 450 virtual golf courses. The facility is intended both for people who already have their own training plan and for beginners who need an introduction to the game.

Individual lessons are conducted using Trackman data and video analysis. Thanks to this, the coach can compare the outcome of the shot with the player's movement, instead of basing instructions solely on observation. Group training and classes for children are also available, and indoor leagues and tournaments allow you to maintain an element of competition in the months when regular play on the course is difficult.

There is a golf shop on-site, and you can also take advantage of fitting services. Kraków Golf is therefore an urban center combining training, learning, and meetings of the local golf community. Since the facility does not open late every day, it is best to book your time slot in advance, especially if the session is to include a lesson with a coach.

7. Hotel Boss: a public simulator in hotel facilities

Location: 20 Żwanowiecka St., Warsaw

Technology: Trackman iO

Additional facilities: reservations from 8:00 to 22:00 and the possibility of training with a coach

The simulator at Hotel Boss is located at 20 Żwanowiecka St., in the green part of Warsaw's Wawer district. The bay is also available for guests not staying at the hotel. It uses the overhead Trackman iO system, combining radar with optical cameras. According to the facility's information, it registers over 50 shot parameters, making it suitable both for checking basic distances and for a more detailed analysis of technique.

The space was prepared specifically for indoor play: it has a large screen, an appropriate mat, lighting, soundproofing, and safety enclosures around the bay. Overhead mounting of the device leaves free space around the ball and reduces the need to reposition the sensor. Since this is a single bay, it works best for individual training, lessons, or a quiet game with a small group.

The advantage of this location is the hotel facilities - a restaurant, free parking, and the possibility of combining play with a stay on-site. It is not an expansive club with several simulators and its own league, but a convenient option for residents of south-eastern Warsaw and hotel visitors. It is worth confirming the time slot and coach availability directly when booking. A description of how this zone was made can also be found on the project page of Hotel Boss prepared by Golf Masters.

How to choose a training spot after the season?

Define what you want to work on

To practice your full swing, a good bay with a radar and a mat is enough. If the plan also includes the short game, it is worth choosing a place with a green, a bunker, or a PuttView system.

Check coach availability

The measurement itself shows what happened to the ball, but does not always explain the cause. Beginners and those rebuilding their swing will benefit from a lesson with an instructor, ideally complemented by video analysis.

Match the number of bays to your group

One bay is enough for individual training. For group play, a league, or a tournament, several simulators reduce the waiting time between shots.

Ask about equipment and rules

Before visiting, it is worth determining whether you can rent clubs on-site, what kind of balls are allowed, and what footwear is required. Rules and possible fees vary between facilities.

Summary

It is worth planning your post-season training around one specific goal. If you want to improve your technique, look for a place with data analysis, video feedback, and the possibility of consulting with a coach. When working on your short game, the simulator alone will not be enough - you will need a green, a bunker, or a system supporting putting practice. To maintain rhythm and distance control, however, a well-equipped bay and regular, comparable sessions are sufficient.

The greatest benefit comes not from a single visit, but from a simple plan for a few weeks: a fixed time slot, the same set of measured parameters, and periodic follow-up lessons. When the weather permits, indoor training is worth supplementing with shots on an outdoor driving range. Then, autumn and winter become a time of conscious work on your game, rather than just a break waiting to return to the course.
